Prepare Yourself For 2011 Arizona

Here in Arizona we have a de facto Governor in the form of a state senator and now senate President named Russell Pearce Pearce known primarily for his anti-immigrant legislation and in particular as the creator of the infamous anti-immigrant law SB1070. This coming 2011 legislative session we'll see a more aggressive Pearce empowered by his popularity and success in utilizing the undocumented Immigrants as scapegoats for Arizona's economic woes.

Pearce will launch an effort to deny birthright citizenship to children born of undocumented immigrants in Arizona. This offensive attempt at stripping U.S. born children of their citizenship will create a far greater controversy than SB1070 and will bring with it long lasting political repercussions. Pearce's previous attempt to supersede existing federal laws through SB1070 will be repeated by his attempt to supersede the 14th amendment of the constitution of the United States by denying children of undocumented Immigrants a birth certificate declaring their legal status as Arizona residents and U.S. citizens null and void.

Although Arizona has already been at center stage regarding immigration issues, the political spotlight will once again shine brightly on Arizona as a controversial state who is aggressively engaged in regaining its old west persona as it breeds political gunslingers who shoot from the hip indiscriminately regardless of who gets in their way.

Brace yourself Arizona, within the next few months Arizona will once again be besieged by reporters from as far away as Europe hungry for information on how it is that an American state has single handedly led the immigration issue worldwide. Hopefully this time reporters will also take back a very important lesson for the world, the fact that pursuing twisted political agendas undoubtedly brings with it political and economic consequences that will ultimately leave a state and an entire nation polarized and in economic ruin.
